Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority Report on A Residential Program for Sex Trafficking Victims

As the former Executive Director of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, I continue to post links on this blog to the wonderful work of that state agency’s staff. Today, ICJIA released a Research Bulletin on “Anne’s House: A Residential Program for Trafficking Victims,” which can be found at https://www.icjia.state.il.us/public/pdf/Bulletins/Annes%20House_022013.pdf

While executive director at the Authority and now in private practice, I have supported re-entry programs for all offenders. Anne’s House is trying to offer its residents comprehensive individualized services in a safe setting. Anne’s Home has been operated by the Salvation Army in 2010 and is the first long term residence for women and girls who have been victims of sex trafficking, prostitution or the sex trade.

The ICJIA report details the needs of such victims and how Anne’s House attempts to meet those needs.
