Lori G. Levin explains procedures relevant to AJ Freund case

Recently, I was contacted by a Chicago Tribune reporter to explain legal principles that could apply to the parents who were charged in the death of their young son, A.J. Freund.

All criminal defense attorneys know that a defendant does not have to take the stand and testify for himself and cannot be forced to take the stand to testify against a co-defendant. Many do, however, when they are given some consideration by the prosecution.
