Lori G. Levin Acknowledged as Laureate for Service to Legal Profession

Recently, the gracious letter that I received from Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman appeared on my Facebook timeline. Justice Garman wrote to me when I was inducted as a Laureate into the Illinois Academy of Lawyers. The Academy has not inducted another class since mine.

It is an honor to serve my clients in the areas of criminal, juvenile and DCFS as well as to handle legal issues pertaining to mental health and disability. I am still grateful and humbled to have been inducted as a Laureate.

“The Academy honors lawyers who have established and maintained the highest principles of the profession as demonstrated by their pervasive record of service to the law and the public. And not least, by their example, they are beacons to others who seek to uphold the highest standards in the practice of law.

“The Laureate Award, the supreme honor bestowed by the Academy, is awarded to those deemed to exemplify the highest ideals of the profession.”
